Welcome
22 June 2007 - I have updated the Oosterman and Spaak family pages. These pages are now in hyperlinked PDF format. **New** I have added the Reitsma family tree to the site as well. I had, up until now, left a basic page telling visitors to keep checking back for the pages.
29 May 2007 - Issues resolved. The database is back online and fully functional once again. Thank you for your patience.
28 May 2007 - I'm still having some issues with the database and am working on resolving the problem. Once I have it resolved, I should be back on track.
14 May 2007 - The database is back online (finally)!!! I was attempting to upgrade the program and it turned into a nightmare of importing the data into the database. If you find an error with the information, I would ask that you let me know so that I can correct it. Also, I working on converting the family pages to a (linked?) PDF format. This will save me considerable time and editing any updates that I get. Some of the pages are already in this format.
11 September 2005 - As you can see from the new nav bar, I have made some changes. I still have others that need to be put in place but that requires some time to be able to do it. I have also added a contact form to make things a little easier. I am still in the process of getting the menu in place on the rest of the pages but I should be finished up next week.
07 September 2005 - Due to the unscrupulous nature of some people and their abuse of the guest book to peddle smut, I have removed the guestbook and the bulletin board system. I will be removing the links to them in the coming weeks. I am sorry if this is an incovenience to those of you who honestly wanted to leave contructive feedback. I have been subjected to this once before and have found that this is the only true way to remove their childish methods from appearing on a website.
24 June 2005 - I came across a program a while ago and have been playing with it over the past 6 months or so. I just upgraded the program to the most recent version and have provided a link to it from the menu to the left. This program provides a graphical and searchable version on the database that I have. There are approximately 38000 names in the database and it continues to grow. Enjoy!
19 June 2005 - I have added a new family link. The Nauta family is now available only from the main page navigation menu for now. This includes a page of images from the family reunion my wife and I attended in Workum on 11 June.
09 December 2004 - Please bear with as I will be updating the individual pages over the next several weeks. Several of the links may not work for a day or two but hopefully there will be a minimum of problems. Thank you for your patience.
08 November 2004 - I have changed the appearance of the website a little and brought it a little more up-to-date. I hope you enjoy it.
06 February 2004 - The new year is definately here and some change need to occur. The most important of which is a change in host of these webpages. Hypermart has discontinued their free webpage hosting so I have registered Ourgenealogy as a domain and have a new host. So now it is official, we are our own website. Please drop me an email if you have any questions or comments.
Please take a few minutes to read!!
Greetings and welcome to Ourgenealogy! Please send an email to us so we can see who stopped by. This webpage is intended to be a FREE resource to any and all people doing genealogy research for themselves. The people who have helped to create the family trees listed have placed a large amount of time and effort in the creation of these webpages and we try to keep them as up-to-date as possible. On some of these pages there will be other contacts listed to whom you can ask questions. This is where you come in. If you find a relative in the following pages, please drop me a line as I would like to hear from you. The same goes if you spot a mistake that I made. I am not perfect and you will never get me to admit that I am. If you are interested in something that you see here, please contact me as I may have more information.
For those of you who are interested, I use Family Tree Maker version 10. I have tried to model the family pages to match the format of one of the reports that this program creates. The navigation is fairly simple. The blue linked numbers on the left-hand side of the family page will bring you to that person's wife and descendants. The blue-linked numbers following names will bring you the ancestor named before the number. If this explaination confuses you, please experiment with the links and it should sort itself out.
Thanks.
